MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the the Academic Network for the Study of Islam and Esotericism (ANSIE) is open to senior and junior scholars who are engaged in the study of Islam and esotericism and/or mysticism and are affiliated to recognized academic institutions. Other persons may become corresponding members at the discretion of the Board. The annual membership fee is currently €20 (or £20/1,000 TRY/US$20) for senior scholars and half that for junior scholars (PhDs).

To apply for membership:
Complete the form below. We will contact you once your application has been approved.

To renew your membership:
Please send the annual fee to the appropriate bank account with your full name and the year for which you are paying as the reference (for example, Henry Corbin 2024). This is important as in some cases payments without the right information (i.e. full legal name) are intercepted by anti-money-laundering tools.

Exceptions
Scholars who are unable to pay the membership fee because they reside in a country that is cut off from the international financial system by sanctions will be offered free membership on application to the treasurer at treasurer@ansie.org.
